Brecht Helsmoortel / Helsington
With extensive hands-on experience in lighting design for immersive experiences, museum installations and high end product launches, combined with a strong background as a designer / photographer / videographer and educator, Brecht brings a clear and grounded perspective to teaching DMX lighting. He has worked closely with technical teams in real-world lighting environments, translating complex setups into practical, usable workflows.

Course Partners
The team at Bekafun, a professional audio, lighting, and AV company based in Belgium, kindly provided two ColorKey fixtures for the chapter on moving heads. These fixtures enabled me to clearly demonstrate the functionality of moving head lighting and showcase the full range of capabilities these advanced fixtures offer.
We are proud to collaborate with ColorKey, who generously provided high-quality video footage of their professional lighting fixtures. This footage helps clearly demonstrate how the fixtures work and what they are capable of, giving students a more accurate and practical understanding of their use in real-world lighting setups.
