Brecht is a multifaceted creative professional whose journey weaves through the worlds of photography, videography, graphic design, multimedia development, animation, and visual storytelling. With an academic foundation in graphic design and multimedia technology, Brecht initially cut his teeth as a programmer and graphic designer, crafting everything from websites to mobile games. Yet, as his career evolved, so did his passion—leading him into the vibrant realm of animation and character-driven explainer videos.
Over the years, Brecht became a true digital all-rounder, blending his love for storytelling with hands-on experience in large-scale lighting projects. He worked on immersive installations for museums, high-profile product launches, and cultural heritage events, collaborating closely with lighting technicians and diving deep into the world of DMX.
But beyond all these roles, Brecht is, at heart, an educator. He's spent years teaching and mentoring, from guiding students through creative software to developing e-learning courses and platforms for companies. Now, as a professional lifestyle and wellness photographer who travels Europe, Brecht brings his rich tapestry of skills into the classroom. His course isn't just about the nuts and bolts of lighting—it's about seeing it through the eyes of someone who’s done it all, and who can teach you not just the technique, but the art of creative illumination.
